About us

The Music, Emotions and Cognition Research Laboratory (MUSEC Laboratory) is a part of BRAMS (International Laboratory for Brain, Music and Sound Research), which is affiliated with the University of Montreal and McGill University. Led by Dr. Nathalie Gosselin, Neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology of the University of Montreal, MUSEC studies the effects of music on the brain and on well-being. Our research focus particularly on the impact that listening to music has on cognitive abilities, emotions and stress.

The BRAMS Laboratory invites you to take a short survey (10-15) aiming to explore the psychological impacts of the pandemic and the role of music in well-being during the COVID-19 crisis. To participate, you must be 14+ years old and understand English or French. You do not have to be a musician, nor to have had the COVID-19.

For all questions, contact Marie-Andrée Richard, B.Sc., at music.covid19@gmail.com
